Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 19: Gerard Hirsch & Junior’s dad return

Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 19 will be a good one when it comes to bringing back some familiar names within the extended family! We’ve started to get a better sense, for example, and Junior Reigns’ father. He’s built a lot of animosity in his heart, which involved his son’s career path and not staying true to precisely what he wanted. The relationship between the two is not a bridge that can be repaired immediately. It is the sort of thing that takes time and takes a commitment from both parties … but it mostly talks Junior’s father opening up. Without that, nothing else is possible.

So how is Junior’s father going to factor into this particular story? Let’s just say that the official Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 19 synopsis has more information on that, plus the actual cases that will define it:

“Pupuhi ka he’e o kai uli” – Five-0 investigates the murder of a window washer and find that the victim is actually a renowned street artist who may have a politically motivated bounty on his head. Also, Grover and Adam look into the murder of a gambler, and Junior helps his father when they are reminded of his sister’s death, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, March 15 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

One of the other familiar faces turning up in this episode is Willie Garson as Gerard Hirsch — we reported recently that he would be back, and that’s always a cause for celebration in our books. It also makes sense for him to be back given the nature of some of these murders (especially when it comes to the street artist) and some of the connections the guy has to some rather unseemly people. He’s a great source of information and an interesting power-broker within this world. It’s also a good chance to wonder if he is actually turning his life around in a positive way. Sometimes, it’s hard to know with a guy quite like him.

What will you remember this episode by?

Admittedly, that is a difficult thing to gauge before it even airs, but it seems to have that combination of good stuff you hope for every single time Hawaii Five-0 comes on the air. For example, you will have an opportunity to get some entertainment courtesy of Hirsch, and to go along with that, there will be a chance for something a little more emotional with Junior and his dad. Beulah Kaole has been killing it in some recent episodes, and at the moment, there’s really no reason to think that we are going to see anything different here.
