New Amsterdam episode 15 return date for Ryan Eggold, cast
Let’s start with the sad news — might as well get that out of the way, right? There is no new episode of New Amsterdam on the air next week, which is probably for the best since there is no new episode of This Is Us airing, either. It obviously makes sense to continue to pair this show with its lead-in, given that this gives us the best chance of delivering a nice ratings punch. You don’t want to be in a situation where it doesn’t get those same numbers … even if it does already have a season 2.

03/05/2019 (10:01PM – 11:00PM) (Tuesday) : Max (Ryan Eggold) bonds with the patients undergoing chemo with him, but a conversation leads him to struggle with his reality. Meanwhile, Reynolds (Jocko Sims) has difficulty handling a personal matter regarding a patient’s family and Iggy (Tyler Labine) struggles with a realization regarding his daughter. Also starring Janet Montgomery as Lauren Bloom, Freema Agyeman as Helen Sharpe and Anupam Kher as Vijay Kapoor. TV-14 L
For those who are looking for an emotional story, we’re certainly going to have it here. It’s a chance to see a more personal side to Floyd Reynolds and beyond that, it’s also going to force Max to confront some hard truths that, perhaps for one reason or another, he’s been avoiding. More than likely, this is a tricky situation that he doesn’t want to find himself in if he can help it.
Ultimately, we think that at this point in the season, the goal is going to be giving you as much personal information as possible about the doctors, while at the same time not veering the story too off-course. What remains the most important about New Amsterdam is that the story is pretty firmly planted in these two different camps. It needs to be a character study, but it also needs to continue to put a focus on medicine and cases — after all, this will be the backbone of the series for potentially years to come.
