Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 15 (finale) spoilers: ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’

Lethal Weapon

Next week on Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 15, everything is going to be hitting the fan as we are gearing up for the big finale! This is a chance to tie together at least some loose ends from what’s been going on, and then there is another big question: How do you tie things up with this show, and is there going to be a big cliffhanger? At the moment, there is no word on a season 4 and this series is going to remain on the bubble for a rather long time, most likely. We’d be shocked if we learn about its fate at some point before April, at the latest.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 15 synopsis with some more news on what lies ahead:

When Cole is investigated by the FBI, Murtaugh is forced to question his loyalty to his own partner. Meanwhile, Cole works a case that puts Natalie’s fiancé, Andrew, into the crosshairs right before their wedding day in the all-new “The Spy Who Loved Me” season finale episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, Feb. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-315) (TV-14 L, V)

Is this episode to be a case that completely uproots Natalie’s wedding? We know that somewhere within him, Cole probably would want that … but he also probably doesn’t want to destroy her heart in the process. Their relationship is so complicated, largely because the same can be said for their history. There’s so much pain here from the past and it’s hard to know where to even start when it comes to fixing it.

As for Murtaugh, it makes sense to end this season with his relationship in question. Just think about things in this way — he and Cole haven’t really know each other all that long. Because of that, they really still haven’t put in a lot of time into each other. Becoming a partnership is like almost any other long-term relationship. It takes a whole lot of time in order to figure things out. That’s even more the case when someone’s got the history with complicated law enforcement figures that Wesley Cole has. You need to take the time to understand his loyalties.
