Let’s start by getting the bad news out of the way — there is no new episode next week. The series is going to return to NBC on Tuesday, March 5 with new episodes, and the next one carries with it the title of “The Graduates.” This is not a reference to the classic movie; instead, this is all about marking a very important event in the lives of the Big Three. As for whether or not this is tied specifically to an event in the present, that remains to be seen; regardless, graduation does feel like one of those important Pearson family events that we do need to see and explore within the larger context of the show.

03/05/2019 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) (Tuesday) : Kevin keeps a secret from Zoe. Randall gets unexpected news about Deja. In the past, the Big Three graduate from High School.
Throughout this episode, it’s clear that we’re going to have some important updates! With Kevin, it’s obvious what the secret is going to be: His relapse. This happened at the end of “Songbird Road: Part Two,” and that’s not something that you recover from right away. It does also make some sense as to why he would keep this secret, mostly due to the guilt and the shame that he probably feels as a result of it.
As for the unexpected news related to Deja, we suppose that we should just be happy to get some sort of update related to this character. This Is Us hasn’t done as much with Deja so far this year after the character had somewhat of a breakout season 2, and this could be a chance to change that. We have four more episodes coming up on the other side of this one.
