‘Jersey Shore’ season 6: Pauly D, Ronnie Magro discuss a new Situation

The “Jersey Shore” publicity tour is still going strong, and the latest stop for some of the guys in Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Pauly D, and Ronnie Magro was an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week to talk about ladies … and all things related to the new season.

In the video below, by and large the primary topic of conversation was Mike’s sobriety following a stint in rehab, and we had some pretty interesting quotes from some of his pals about how much the guy had changed during the show’s sixth season. First and foremost, Ronnie Magro claimed that this was really the first time he got to get to know the man behind the nickname:

“Mike came in [to the show] as ‘The Situation.’ I never liked ‘The Situation.’ Mike came in this year as Mike Sorrentino and he was great to be around.  He was fun. He was active.  It was just great to have him in the house.”

Meanwhile, Pauly had something to say here that very much to us makes it sound like the legendary trio known as “MVP” could very well be back in full force:

“We hit it off and through out the years we started growing a little bit distant and apart. So I was happy to see that he went to rehab and when he came back.  I had my best friend back. I was just happy to have Mike back.”

Ellen also made a bet with the boys that she would donate $1,000 to breast cancer research for the first guy who took off their shirt on the show, and Ronnie was the one to oblige. Really, we’re surprised that the other two didn’t go for it to try and get her total bumped up to $3,000.

Are you excited to see a new side of Mike?
