Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 14 preview: ‘A Game of Chicken’
Next week on Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 14, you’re going to see many events start to come to a head. The return of Tom Barnes could cause some issues for Murtaugh and Cole, and Trish is going to be inching ever closer to kicking off her run for public office.
So are these stories going to be altogether linked? Maybe not directly, but indirectly it feels like a pretty sure thing. Trish realizes that her husband’s actions are going to play a role in everything that she does, mostly because anytime you run for office, your life is put under the microscope. She’s done a number of great things across her career, but not everyone out there may look at it the same exact way. She’s going to have some tough conversations and hurdles to jump through.
While she deals with that, Murtaugh may end up having to deal with not only his own survival, but also seeing if he can repair things with Cole — it feels like Tom is the sort of person who could easily push the two apart. He has a history with Cole that Murtaugh just doesn’t have, and we’ve already seen enough evidence to know that Barnes can also be very manipulative. He’s going to want precisely what he wants, precisely when he wants it; he also knows what buttons to push.
