‘The X Factor’ USA: Khloe Kardashian, Mario Lopez close to official
It looks like you can almost about this as official: Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez are going to be the newest hosts of “The X Factor” here in America. Now, the only thing left to do is for them to ultimately end up signing on the dotted line.
According to a new report from TMZ, just about everything is set in stone for the two hosts to sign up, and the two will have some sort of “official” announcement that will be coming up at some point a little bit later in the week. Really, the only part of this announcement that does not make a great deal of sense to us is that the two would supposedly start work on the show early next month. Let’s take a look at the timeline here: if bootcamp is this week and the judges’ houses air next week, then what is going to be keeping this show from coming up until the start of next month? If we did have to guess one thing, it would be that producers may actually be holding back until after baseball season so that they can air all of the live shows without swapping out too many timeslots; but even this in some ways serves to be a risky proposition given the fact that this show would already have to shift a day or so earlier due to Thanksgiving near the end of next month. Personally, we’re hoping that the TMZ start date is just a little misinformed, and that the series is still planning on keeping a live show or two during the latter weeks of October, just so we have some more time to get to know these contestants individually before the finale.
Ultimately, do you think that Khloe and Mario are good choices, or is this yet another grab at the headlines for Simon Cowell and company?
