Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 15 video: Is there a traitor in the midst?

Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 15 is airing on NBC Thursday night, in this case could be even more complicated than most. Why is that? Well, there is a reasonably good chance that someone on the inside may be working with some of the bad guys. The promo below is evidence.

At the Forefront of this case is trying to solve what is going on with the number of secret underground brothels around the city, ones that are responsible for killing young women. It’s a dangerous, devastating situation, and it’s also a very hard situation to get people to talk. Often, women working in secret underground clubs have been traumatized and are scared of speaking out, especially to law enforcement. It’s going to take an extra effort just to even find these women, let alone figure anything out when it comes to answers.

This episode has already been hyped up as a big one for Ice-T and his character of Fin, and over the course of this hour, we are going to see him work with someone from his past played by Jennifer Esposito of Blue Bloods and NCIS fame. Judging from the promo, it does seem as though the two have at least a friendly relationship. They’re able to go out for drinks with each other at the end of a long day of work! We’re of course excited to get to see more of Fin outside the job, but also have to be aware that SVU is not really a relationship-based show.

There’s also something else to wonder that is particularly sinister.  What if Esposito’s character

is in one way or another involved in the case in a negative way? What if she is the one tipping off whoever is running the secret brothels? It’s a dangerous thing to think about, but when you hear the promo talk about someone being a possible traitor, the clues just happen to line up. We don’t foresee the criminal on the inside being some we’ve come to know and love over the years, so a newcomer is almost always going to be the most likely suspect.

Regardless of who is responsible for running the brothels or for tipping people off, you can rest assured that this is going to be another powerful episode. SVU has been killing it as of late with a number of really strong cases, so here is to hoping that the momentum continues.
