The Resident season 2 episode 14 video: Devon tells Conrad about Julian’s call
What we know at the moment is that she’s MIA — her car was discovered, but nobody has seen a body and there isn’t really any trace of her. It’s never been confirmed that the character is got for good … but at the same time, how can you really feel hopeful based on the current state of things with this show? Unless she’s found a way to enter witness protection somewhere with a new investigative team or just fall off the map, it’s hard to imagine that she’s still alive or breathing. Yet, this show does have a tendency to surprise.
What Devon’s discovered now, per the sneak peek below, is that Julian did try to get in contact with the FDA before her disappearance. What he was told on the other side of his conversation with the agent is that she came to them inquiring about a career change … and unfortunately, that’s all the information that we’ve got. There isn’t any other insight that has been handed down here, and it doesn’t help that this information is a lie. We know that this agent is in bed with Quovadis and took advantage of Julian for his own personal gain. He’s the one who tipped the device company off, which led to the potentially-deadly confrontation later.
So while Devon may have a little bit more information than he did before regarding Julian’s whereabouts, there is still one question that you have to wonder — will it matter? Is it really going to make all that much of a different in determining the future or giving her a chance at something on the other side of it? We imagine that time will certainly tell with that, but we’re as nervous over this storyline as we’ve ever been.
With Devon, we just hope that there is peace for him really no matter what happens on the other side of it. This is a guy who has been through a lot this season — some of his problems are his own doing, but what happened to Julian here is separate. She got in over her head with a company that she thought she could trust and she’s dealing with the aftermath now. It’s far from an easy thing for anyone to handle.
