Alas, the truth here is that you’re going to be waiting for a little while to see the space series back — think in terms of another week. Fox is giving their shows a quick little breather tonight, but come February 14 you’re going to get what could be another epic adventure. With that being said, it’s not as though the network is giving up all that much in the way of information. As a matter of fact, they’re not actually saying anything at all! Fox does have a habit of being extremely secretive when it comes to the future of the series and this is really no exception to the rule.
So, while you do wait for the series to come back, why not check out a deleted scene from a little bit earlier this season? In the video below, you’ve got a chance to see some of what we’re talking about here courtesy of Bortus — it’s an entertaining little scene, not that we really expected anything else from this show. Yet, it’s also clear why it was cut. This show does get longer episodes than the majority of other series out there on network television, but there are some things that still end up being left on the cutting-room floor. Some scenes don’t actually end up serving any real purpose when it comes to the story and such is the case here.
Hopefully, this is something that The Orville and its producers will continue to share on social media to entice fans as we get closer and closer to the show coming back on the air. Also, it’d be a great thing to do as we await the series returning for a third season, provided of course that this renewal actually happens. That’s not something that is actually all that much of a sure thing based on the recent numbers. Our advance at present is pretty simple: If you love The Orville and want to see it stay around, the best thing that you can do is watch live.
