Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 13 preview: Owen, Amelia’s next move

As we move into Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 13, one thing feels clear: Owen and Amelia have a lot to decide. They’ve learned recently that Betty wasn’t exactly truthful with much of anything about herself and because of that, they have a potential custody battle looming for Owen’s son and also some other unexpected problems that could surface.

It was reported earlier today that Jennifer Grey and Kyle Secor are going to be coming on board as Betty’s parents, so we know already that Kevin McKidd’s character, entering this episode, is going to find a way to track these two people down.

A sea of patients flood Grey Sloan Memorial after gunfire goes off at a parade. A blast from the past throws Maggie off her game on the same day that Meredith tries to talk to her about her dating situation. Meanwhile, Owen and Amelia get some potentially life-altering news about Betty.

The Owen and Amelia storyline seems to be the one that will get the most attention here, judging from this information; yet, at the same time you can’t rule out what Meredith is going to be going through when it comes to Maggie. If she and DeLuca are going to have a relationship, there are obviously some conversations that need to be had between the two sisters. There’s a lot of romantic history there and while Maggie is clearly happy, there’s still some clearing-up that needs to happen. We just hope that by the end of the episode, we do have some more clarity.

Of course, the parade violence will probably lead to chaos at the Grey Sloan like we haven’t seen in a while. You would think that, at this point, we would be accustomed to seeing this sort of thing. Yet, it does somehow manage to still surprise.
