Lindsay Lohan’s ‘Liz & Dick’ lands official Lifetime premiere date

So when can you see the grand premiere of “Liz & Dick” on Lifetime? The cable network has just unveiled their premiere date for the long-anticipated TV movie, and it looks as though this is being set up as a perfect sort of Thanksgiving treat … at least if you are into soapy treatments of some of Hollywood’s greatest actresses.

In the video below, you can see what is the latest teaser related to the film, which features all sorts of lines such a “Lindsay is back” and hyping this up as one of her first starring roles in years. (You can see another teaser here.) Playing Elizabeth Taylor is not an easy thing to do, but the former “Mean Girls” star seems to at least be excited and up for the task.

As for that date, the show will on Sunday, November 25 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, which is not exactly a timeslot that is free of competition. Lifetime may be banking on the fact that some major networks will be in repeats thanks to the long holiday weekend, but there will still be some strong cable fare on including “Dexter” on Showtime and “The Walking Dead” over on AMC, Can Lindsay really compete with all that? We’re betting that this is at least a ratings smash, even if the state of the reviews are a little bit more ambiguous.
