Supernatural 300th episode video: Sam, Dean talk John’s return

With that being said, just because John is back doesn’t necessarily mean that he is being welcomed with open arms by everyone within the Winchester family — especially Sam, who appears to be very much nervous about having him around and messing with the rules of the universe. This is a sentiment that you get a little bit more insight on in the sneak peek below (via TVLine), as Sam is hesitant about spending some time with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character, even if Dean is eager to actually have some time together as a whole family once more.
If there is a word that we would use to describe what we’re seeing and could be seeing coming up, it’s simply this: Sentimental. We’re gearing up for a heartfelt meeting between some of these characters that is reflective, and a nice reminder of how far some of them have come. The photo above does give away that at least one part of Dean’s wish comes true — there is a chance for the entire family to have dinner together, something that would not have felt even remotely possible beforehand. If you love sweet, heartfelt moments between the entire cast, this is one that has to top the list in terms of significance.
As for what these characters are actually going to get out of this, maybe there are a few small twists that could impact the story moving forward. more than anything, though, we’re really just crossing our fingers and hoping for a little bit of closure. It’s the thing that feels like it needs to happen (especially for Sam) after so many years. Losing John remains one of the most significant moments of the entire series and the fact that it happened so long ago and we can still remember it speaks to that somewhat. This is an episode that we want to remember, and also one that could be tear-inducing.
