As we’ve noted in some past reviews for this show, though, is it really all about just the guessing game at this point? We don’t think so, as we’re enjoying The Masked Singer more these days for the sense of fun it offers. From start to finish, they do some great stuff!
The Bee, “Wrecking Ball” – This was gorgeous. It was a super-emotional, beautiful performance. There’s something that is oddly vulnerable about seeing someone in a mask performing such a powerful song. We think it’s obvious that it’s Gladys Knight at this point, but does it really matter?
The Peacock, “All of Me” – Is it time that the Peacock is starting to be found out? It feels that way after that particular performance. This was beautiful and so well-done, but the stage confidence that the Peacock has (plus his voice) makes it reasonably obvious that it is Donny Osmond.
The Raven – This was another very good performance from The Raven — she’s not the best singer from the group, but she’s someone who comes out with a lot of heart and soul. The Ricki Lake comparisons make a lot of sense here, given that it’s clear she is a talk-show host.
The Monster, “American Woman” – He’s our favorite person on the show and beyond that, he’s just such a dynamic, fascinating person to watch. He’s able to bring so much passion to his songs, and he also manages to hit all sorts of crazy notes. He’s also the one that is hardest to gauge. We do also like the fact that he probably knows Nick Cannon.
