Charmed episode 12 return date: When’s it back on The CW?
Alas, let’s go ahead and kick the piece off with the bad news: There is no new episode coming on The CW next week, with the simple reason for that being that it’s Super Bowl Sunday! We’re just sure what makes this hiatus so frustrating is that we only just came back with new episodes, and now we’re in a position where we have to endure another lengthy break before the series is back for more.
The reason we say “lengthy” here is because, alas, there is no new episode coming in two weeks’ time, either. Because of the Grammys, we are going to continue to see Charmed on break and it will not be back until we get around to Sunday, February 17. That’s so long of a break that, at least at the moment, The CW has not released any additional information as to what’s coming up. (What is so ironic about this is that there’s also probably going to be a break on February 24 because of the Oscars, which means that there is only one new episode of Charmed that is coming on the air over the next month or so.)
So what does this show need to do in order to make certain that it doesn’t lose any viewership over the next few weeks? We don’t really think that it’s all that complicated. The #1 priority here more than any other is just doing what you can in order to ensure that there is some more smart writing and fun for all of the cast. This is a show that bridges the gap between witchcraft and real life and that is not something that anyone behind the scenes should deviate from. They really shouldn’t, given that this has been established at this point as a formula that really does work for this show.
In the end, our hope here is mostly just we continue to see some really interesting exploits for the entire group and by the time we get to the end of the season, there is a legitimate threat that tests all of the characters in a way that they haven’t quite been to date. The more tension that you can add to the end of a season, the more likely it is that viewers will stay engaged. There’s no guarantee of a season 2 as of right now, but we remain hopeful.
