Alas, we also do come bearing some rather-unfortunate news in that you’re going to be waiting a little while longer to see the saga of “Smokescreen” play out. Because of the Super Bowl on CBS, there is (quite understandably) no new episode airing in one week’s time. The week after that, the network has the Grammys. Because of these factors, you are going to have to wait until Sunday, February 17 to see what is coming up in the second part of this story.
Moving forward, the schedule is going to be rather chaotic in general. Because of the Academy Awards coming on ABC February 24, it’s rather hard to really imagine us getting a new episode at that point. That means we could be waiting until March 3 to get to pick up more episodes once more. If you’re a longtime fan of this show, there’s a reasonably-good chance that you are aware of this airing pattern already. It’s rather unfortunate, but this is just the way that new episodes are structured around this time for a number of different reasons — with the major one just being that there is so much competition and a lot of it is really hard to properly broadcast again. Of course, there are certain CBS broadcasts here that are also preempting NCIS: Los Angeles outright.
Even though you may be waiting for a while to see season 10 episode 15 on the air, there is still one thing to appreciate — the fact that there are still many more stories left to tell. That means that you’ll have a heck of a lot to look forward to — hopefully, that includes a Deeks/Kensi wedding, more personal stories for Sam and Callen, and eventually a little bit more leadership when it comes to the top of the NCIS food chain. That’s something that has absolutely been in flux for the majority of this season. (We know that Linda Hunt is planning to return to the series eventually as Hetty.)
