SAG Awards 2019: Where to watch, live stream red carpet pre-show
Leading to tonight’s SAG Awards on TNT, there is of course going to be an epic red carpet with celebrities, fashion, and so much more. So, do you want to find a way in which to watch the pre-show? In this article, we’ve got some information on that very subject!
Starting at 2:30 p.m. PT this afternoon, you are going to have a chance to check out (via People Now and Entertainment Weekly) a live stream featuring a wide array of different celebrities, talking about both their work over the past year and also what it means being a part of this union. The SAG Awards are different than any other that you see over the course of the year since it’s really all about the actors, what they want, and the work that they do. It’s a very different sort of vibe than you get from either the Golden Globes or the Oscars, which are airing next month on ABC.
Do we expect some bold fashion choices? Certainly, but what is perhaps even more interesting at the moment is just how mysterious things still are when it comes to the race itself. In the movie categories, it doesn’t feel like there is one choice that stands out above the rest — Green Book is likely the front-runner based on some recent wins elsewhere, but that by no means guarantees a win. Meanwhile, A Star is Born is very much a mainstream pick.
When it comes to TV, we’re very curious tonight as to whether or not The Americans and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will keep up the momentum that they’ve had going from some other awards-show wins as of late. They’re in the midst of a really good run and we do think that there is a chance that they are going to be able to keep this going in at least a few categories tonight. We also wouldn’t rule out some wins for Ozark and The Kominsky Method, mostly because the two shows have a lot of nominations across the board and they’ve got some acting talent that would be very much appreciated by some other actors within the guild.
