Is Blindspot new tonight on NBC? The quest to save Jane ahead

Alas, you’re going to have to put that enthusiasm on hold for at least one week’s time. Why is that? Think in terms of NBC’s figure-skating programming. Because of the sports broadcast, both this show and also The Blacklist are going to be taking the week off — it remains to be seen whether or not this move will lead to higher ratings on the network, mostly because figure skating tends to be a huge ratings draw for the Winter Olympics but not necessarily for some other occasions around it.
As for what you can expect to see when the series returns, much of that starts with trying to find a way to save Jane. Even though the Remi part of her seems to be more at bay, the reality still remains that she’s in danger. That’s going to cause a number of other team members to step up to the plate. Blindspot is going to feel even more like an ensemble show even more than ever before, largely due to the fact that everyone from Patterson to Rich to Reade are going to have enormous roles in helping her and also taking out a wide array of threats that come into the FBI’s crosshairs.
One other interesting thing to watch when it comes to Blindspot
Think in terms of the ratings. This past fall, we were immensely worried about its performance when it aired alongside Midnight, Texas season 2. Yet, the show has actually posted some nice gains thanks to it airing alongside The Blacklist earlier this year. Maybe this is because of viewers remembering to tune in now, or maybe it’s because there are naturally more viewers home on Friday nights in the winter than the fall. Regardless of whatever the reasoning may be, the show’s starting to get a little bit more momentum than it had before. If it can keep that up, there’s a reasonably good chance that there could be a season 5 for Blindspot down the line.
One way or another, we unfortunately are not going to know the answer until we get around to May.
