Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 episode 4 preview: Is Gina leaving?
The good news that we can share for many right now is simply this: That tonight was not the final episode for her character of Gina. She made the decision to leave the Nine-Nine at the conclusion of episode 3, but we know that she’ll be back for at least one more go-around. As a matter of fact, almost the entirety of next week’s episode is going to be about Gina and some of the other characters.
Below, CarterMatt has the official Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 episode 4 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up:
01/31/2019 (09:00PM – 09:30PM) (Thursday) : Gina spends time with each member of the squad. TV-14 D, L
Peretti exiting Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been in the works for quite a while now, and the idea was to write the character off in the most exciting, Gina-appropriate way ever. We don’t exactly think that this story is anywhere near the end, and there are going to be plenty of other surprises that the writers are going to give us.
Are we going to miss this character?
Absolutely. Gina has been a wonderful part of the show, and her sense of humor has supplied all sorts of great stuff from start to finish. That means a lot of snark, some genuinely-funny moments, and of course a few heartfelt scenes that you couldn’t see coming in a million years. Despite the fact that Gina’s not a cop, she somehow proved invaluable for a lot of different cases.
On the other side of Gina’s exit, we don’t think that the show is going to lose too much steam. There will still be a number of really hilarious moments and, beyond that, we figure that there will be some plans for Gina’s position that prove to be exciting.
For now, though, let’s just prepare for the next new episode and to say goodbye to Gina in as appropriate of a fashion as we can — let’s hope it’s random, ridiculous, and that we actually get a few good moments with all of the different characters. Yes, we’re even throwing Scully and Hitchcock in here for the sake of getting some good laughs.
