Unfortunately, the CBS series is taking a week off this go-around, mostly because they want to save some of their new episodes for February sweeps — which technically begins on January 31! When it does come back you’re going to have a story here that puts Sheldon in a difficult position — one where he has to make a choice between supporting his friends and then following the rules. It’s an interesting test of where he is at this particular point in his life and how his viewpoint on the world has changed over time. We’re sure that there will still be a good bit of comedy on the show — after all, this is still a sitcom — but we do think focusing on this character’s growth along the way still matters.

“The Meteorite Manifestation” – Sheldon is thrilled to help Bernadette and Wolowitz navigate bureaucratic paperwork, until he discovers they are breaking the law. Also, Leonard is disappointed when his friends exclude him from a scientific project, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 31 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Andy Daly guest stars as Nathan.
When it comes to familiar faces, this episode will have plenty of them — including Stuart, Bert, and Denise. With us getting near the end of the show, it only makes a good bit of sense to focus on as many important people as possible. Also, why not add Andy Daly to the list? (Go watch Review — it didn’t last anywhere near as long as we would’ve liked.)
So what’s going to be coming on the other side of this episode? Well, let’s just say that on the February 7 episode, you’re going to be seeing Penny do what she can in order to wreck Leonard’s plan to be a sperm donor for Zack. (The writers have not forgotten about this story at all in case that’s what you were hoping for.) There’s also going to be a fun story for Raj that may take a few surprise turns by the time it comes to a close.
