Legacies episode 8 sneak peek: Did Landon find his mother?
In the new sneak peek that we have for you below for tonight’s episode, executive producers Julie Plec and Brett Matthews discuss some of what’s coming in this episode — including the presence of one Landon Kirby’s mom. The character was already put on a bus to New Orleans to get more information about who she is, and he’s going to have a chance to confront her following some help from “family friend” Vincent. It would’ve been great to see that particular character again following his time on The Originals, but we don’t get any sense that we’re going to see him in the flesh. He may just be involved in the process that gets us from point A to point B.
We do think that there’s a lot of interesting stuff that could unravel from the Landon storyline, and understandably so given the fact that he is tied to the central mythology of Legacies as a whole right now. For those of you who watch the show for crazy monsters, apparently this episode is going to deliver on that — you’re going to see quite possibly the craziest monster you’ve ever had a chance to see on the show to date, or at least one that Matthews has been wanting to put on the series for a rather-long time. That is one of the merits that comes with doing a show like this — you have an opportunity to really showcase a lot of interesting, super-creepy stuff that you didn’t necessarily have a chance to do over on The Vampire Diaries or The Originals. Those two shows had a little bit more of a specific mythology that they wanted to be beholden to. Here, the landscape is much larger and the possibilities are endless.
By the end of this episode of Legacies, we should have some answers as to why Landon is the way that he is — and also where this particular show could be going a little bit down the line. There’s a good bit to be excited about just because we’re not even to the halfway point of this first season just yet.
