‘Dexter’ season 7 spoilers: Michael C. Hall on Yvonne Strahovski’s character

It has been a long time coming, but after waiting for over nine months since the season 6 finale aired on Showtime, “Dexter” is finally coming back Sunday night all-new episodes.

So what is the show’s leading man saying now? What we wanted to focus on from Michael C. Hall’s new interview with IGN is what he had to say about a new character that everyone has been talking about since they were first announced: Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah McKay. Specifically, he gives us a litt more insight for the first time as to how she and Dexter come into contact with each other:

“[Dexter], along with Batista, goes along to get a DNA sample from her. They’ve reopened the case of trying to find these bodies that were buried by this guy, Wayne Randall, who she was running with when she was a teenager. Upon meeting her, I think Dexter has an immediate sixth sense – and maybe she does about him as well. He’s always been a magnet for complication and chaos, and their relationship is pretty chaotic and complicated. I don’t want to give too many specifics away, but her character and her relationship with Dexter will factor in in a huge way.”

Some of the words mentioned above do strongly lean towards the suggestion that she could be a potential love interest, even if there is immediately still a part of us hoping that she is going to rise from the ashes and emerge as a villain who can attack Dexter from within. At the moment, most speculation seems to be that the Big Bad for the season will be Ray Stevenson’s Isaac. But is this really the case? Only time will tell.

What role do you think that Hannah is going to play on the show this season? Be sure to share more of your thoughts below, and also check back follow the premiere for our full review (which will be posted by the time the show airs on the West Coast).
