The Passage episode 3 preview: An alliance, a test, and drama

Curious as to what lies ahead on The Passage episode 3? Then you’re in the right place given that inside this article, we’re going to dive into the story and the future a little bit more. This is a show that has a lot of potential to be great, based on what we’ve seen so far. There’s good source material out there, a solid cast, and a network that hasn’t been afraid to take some risks with some of their genre programming. At this point, it’s mostly just all about seeing whether or not this show can stay the course.

For some specifics on the story that’s ahead, check out more of what’s coming on The Passage episode 3:

Brad strikes a deal with Sykes and Richards to stay with Amy at Project NOAH, as they begin to test the virus on her. Upon learning the harsh truth regarding the state of inmates in 4B, Brad forms an alliance to get more information. Meanwhile, Babcock sheds light on her past in the all-new “That Never Should Have Happened To You” episode of THE PASSAGE airing Monday, Jan. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (PSG-103) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)

We think that the writers are going to need to press onward at the pace that they’ve established if they want The Passage to be successful in the long-term, but this is one of the benefits of the 10-episode order at present. Sure, it may be somewhat frustrating and/or infuriating to have to only have ten episodes in a season, but we definitely do think that there’s a little bit of merit to it when you think about the trajectory of the story! This allows them a chance to have virtually zero filler, and to ensure that every single week is anchored by something big.

As for the show’s ratings, Fox has to be thrilled through one episode. This series outperformed its lead-in (in The Resident) and fared better than many prognosticated into the first episode. This is a genre that has been played out across a number of different networks already, so there were some questions as to whether or not there was something here that could appeal to mainstream viewers. Clearly, there is, so there isn’t anything to worry about in terms of trying to build an audience. The focus instead can be on trying to hold down the fort of the people you already have.
