Today marked the conclusion of the Lux convention going on in Brighton, one that has been certainly anticipated for the better part of the past several months. For the cast, it’s almost like an after-party after the after-party for production last year! Filming is done and we’ve seen so many fun little teases here and there from the convention featuring most of the cast and crew. There was also a little bit of music courtesy of Tom Ellis.

For those of you who want some more teasers for what’s ahead, we come bearing some of that good stuff, as well! DB Woodside took part in a panel earlier today, one where he promised that there are going to be plenty of wings throughout the upcoming season on Netflix. We’ve also heard now that Dan and Amenadiel are going to have a rather hard time coping with losing Charlotte Richards following the end of season 3. (Another fun fact we learned — Tricia Helfer at one point auditioned for Chloe Decker. Finding another way to bring her back is something we certainly celebrate.)

The general consensus that we’ve got about season 4 as a whole now is that it’s going to be dark, intense, but also still very much fun. It’ll be perhaps a little edgier at Netflix, but it’s not going to dramatically change the show that it is. There are so many reasons why Lucifer fans loved the first three seasons, and of course the show isn’t going to deviate from that much.

More so than giving out a bunch of spoilers or giving a premiere date (that’s really up to whatever Netflix wants to do), the point of this convention was to celebrate the show, its return, and everyone who helped to make it happen. The cast and producers were gracious with their time, and we’re glad based on what we’ve seen that most attendees had a really great time. For those who weren’t able to be there (ourselves included), we’re pretty sure that there will be some other exciting stuff coming up in the future. The convention circuit isn’t going to just suddenly slow down.
