If you look to the bottom of this article, you can see a really touching clip in which the actor decides to surprise his mother with a house — one that is located right next to his own! It’s a chance for him to be able to pay her back for all of her work and sacrifice, and it’s really a testament to the love that he has for her and some of what she has done and given up as a means to make sure that he can be successful in this world. It’s just a measure of gratitude and a nice reminder of how much she means to him.
Wilmer’s story in itself is an inspirational one, as he came back to America in his teens (he was born in the US, but spent most of his childhood in Venezuela) and really found himself navigating life of America through the unique lens of show business. That 70’s Show happened at a really formative time in his life and he has been able to use that experience to understand the world and build up more of what he wants for his own future. Now, he’s not only a big-time star on one of television’s most-watched shows, but he also has a development deal with CBS TV Studios to bring new projects to television with an emphasis on diversity.
Be prepared for a lot of exciting stories coming on NCIS season 16 the rest of the winter and spring, and we especially feel like there’s going to be some big stuff for Valderrama’s Torres. Think of where things are when it comes to him and Ellie Bishop, let alone what else is happening when it comes to cases. Those are always going to be at the forefront of the series in one shape or form.
