Below, CarterMatt has the official Supernatural season 14 episode 12 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up next:

NO LOOKING BACK – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must figure out how to stop the bloodshed when Donatello (guest star Keith Szarabajka), who, in his current condition, is inadvertently scrambling the order of future prophets. Nick (Mark Pellegrino) comes face to face with his past. The episode was directed by Thomas J. Wright and written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming. (#1412). Original Airdate 1/31/2019.

We have a hard time thinking that Sam and Dean are going to be able to resolve all of the chaos caused by Michael within this episode but, one way or another, we do anticipate some sort of reprieve. Why is that? Well, we feel at least in part like Supernatural is going to move into a different direction with the 300th episode, one that is a little bit more standalone in nature. After all, you’re bringing on a character in John Winchester who really isn’t all that connected with the current mythology of the show — we’d rather his appearance be a little bit more tied to some story in the past than anything that is happening within the present.

In general, though, we’re glad that the show is just mentioning Dean rather than Michael — after all, haven’t we had enough of Michael in Dean’s body for at least a little while? We do still think that the Winchester brothers working together is at the heart of what makes this show precisely what it is.
