Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 13 spoilers: Why Cole flashes back

Lethal Weapon season 3

After a hiatus Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 13 is returning to Fox on February 5. What can you expect from this installment? Well, it turns out that the past is going to be a key component to everything that is coming up. For Trish, that is tied in some way to what’s happening with her in her campaign for District Attorney. Meanwhile, for Cole is comes as a part of an injury. The past isn’t always an easy thing to face, but sometimes you have to do it in the event you want to move forward.

For some more insight, CarterMatt has the official Lethal Weapon season 3 episode 13 synopsis below:

When Cole and Murtaugh investigate a case involving a father and daughter crossing the Mexican border, they end up uncovering a major issue with California Boarder Patrol. Meanwhile, Trish prepares her campaign for D.A. and must face parts of her past, before they find their way into the media spotlight. Cole also confronts his past when he experiences flashbacks as a result of an injury in the all-new “Coyote Ugly” episode of LETHAL WEAPON airing Tuesday, Feb. 5 (8:00-9:00PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LET-313) (TV-14 L, V)

This episode is going to be a great one for anyone out there who wants to see some character development, but also have some concrete reasoning for it. This is a show that has to find some significant ways to move its characters forward and fast. In the event that they don’t, they run the risk of the finale ending with a whimper rather than a bang. That’s not something that the show should either want or endorse given that there’s no guarantee of a season 4 down the line.

What’s the timeliness of this episode?

We have to think that this is going to be here on at least some level, mostly because of the fact that we’re dealing with subject matter in the border which has dominated so many of the headlines over the past several weeks. It may not have been intentional at the time in which the episode was written, but that’s going to be something that subconsciously comes up with viewers regardless at this point.
