NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 12 preview: Gregorio’s big mission

Below, CarterMatt offers the official NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 12 synopsis as to what’s coming up:

“Desperate Navy Wives” – While undercover, Gregorio joins a social club for military wives after one of the members is contacted by an ex-boyfriend on the FBI Most Wanted List, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Jan. 22(10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This is an episode that’s mostly going to be fascinating from a character standpoint. After all, it’s going to mark a great opportunity in order to learn about where Gregorio is at in her life this season — and also whether or not she can function in this sort of social club. We do like that this episode is a fish-out-of-water one that gives us a good sense of her and her relationships with everyone else on the team — especially someone like Hannah Khoury, who is still reasonably new to the team.

In general, we are hoping that there will be some other personal stories coming for other members of the team. We’re hoping for spotlights about Patton, LaSalle, and some others over the course of the rest of the season. We’re still really only around the halfway point of the season, so there could be some opportunities for a few more surprises coming up.

We don’t necessarily think that there’s anything within this episode that is going to matter within the grand scheme of things when it comes to this show but, ultimately, that doesn’t matter all that much. This show tells a number of great standalone stories and we have a feeling that this will continue here. For the immediate future, staying true to the show’s diehard audience is more important than just about anything else.
