Madam Secretary season 5 episode 13 return date: The story of ‘Proxy War’

Do you want to know what’s coming on Madam Secretary season 5 episode 13? The title here is “Proxy War” and throughout the story ahead, you’re going to see a story with an air of tragedy to it from start to finish. It’s hard to know how else to describe it when you consider what you’re looking at — a cluster bomb killing a number of innocent children overseas in Syria. The fact that this bomb was American will make Elizabeth think carefully about her next move and precisely what she wants to do in order to handle it.

“Proxy War” – When innocent Syrian children are killed by an American-made cluster bomb, Elizabeth races to figure out what went wrong before Russia can use it as an excuse to escalate its military presence in the region. Also, Russell faces a PR nightmare after he gets into a heated argument with a homeless protester, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Jan. 27 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We don’t think we need to tell you that this is one of the timeliest episodes of the entire season. As a matter of fact, it may be the timeliest one of the entire season when you think about what’s actually going on in and around Syria these days. While this show is a work of fiction, there does still remain that aspirational nature to it where you watch how some of these characters act and hope that, regardless of party affiliation, that we would see people in the government do the same thing moving forward.

On the other side of this episode, you’re probably going to be forced to wait a rather-long time to see the show come back on the air. The Sunday after January 27, after all, is the Super Bowl — then, on the other side of that you have the Grammys and then the Oscars within the span of a couple of weeks. It’s ultimately a good thing that there are several weeks in March and April in which Madam Secretary can air new episodes; it will need them to make up for the break it’s on now.
