God Friended Me episode 14 return date hopes for CBS drama
The one thing that we should make clear more than any other is simply this: You’re going to have to wait a little while to see what’s coming up on the CBS show. There is no new episode next week, and there isn’t one on the other side of it. In between various NFL games and awards shows, the network doesn’t want to endanger any new episodes by (understandably) putting them on a night where there isn’t a whole lot of viewership for them.
With that in mind, don’t expect the series back until mid-February at the earliest. At the moment there is no confirmed return date; we certainly do think it’s possible that CBS waits until after the Oscars to put more God Friended Me on the air, but they could opt to at least put one episode on in February. Our advice to you is rather simple: Continue to check CBS’ programming guides.
Ultimately, one of the reasons why we’ve gotten so many episodes of God Friended Me so early on in the season is simply the fact that they knew this long break is coming and wanted to ensure they got as many viewers out there as possible hooked on the series beforehand. That’s a way to ensure that there are some viewers around on the other side. We absolutely do feel like the second batch of the season could feel very much like their own arc, given that the seven episodes that we’re going to see moving forward are the ones that were ordered after the initial batch by CBS. We’re sure that the writers have some really interesting plans here that we’re excited to see unfold.
Are we still excited about the odds of a God Friended Me season 2? Absolutely, but we would say that the best way to ensure the show comes back for more is that you continue to watch … and that you do so live. We’re cautiously optimistic about the future of the show and there are some great stories that are certainly going to be coming up down the line. There’s still the mystery of the God account, but that is just scratching the surface on many different exciting things that could be coming up. (We’re still rooting for good things when it comes to Cara and Miles.)
