Chicago PD season 6 episode 11 preview: When politics become problematic

Chicago PD season 6

On Chicago PD season 6 episode 11 next week, you’re going to see (hopefully) the other side of Ruzek’s meeting with COPA; meanwhile, you also have some larger questions worth wondering when it comes to Hank Voight and his work within the political realm.

Through most of this season, Voight has found himself cornered in a way in which he’s had to work with Brennan and some of the higher-ups to ensure that the right Mayoral candidate got into office. It’s a tricky line to toe and one that has caused him a lot of frustration at times. Yet, it’s what he’s effectively had to do for the sake of his job. Moving into episode 11, that could change when he starts to get a sense as to just how messy the world of political campaigns really are.

You would think at this point that Intelligence would be used to everything when it comes to criminals, depravity, and all sorts of other bad stuff in the world. Yet, the world of Chicago politics could somehow surprise everyone within this episode.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Chicago PD season 6 episode 11 synopsis with some additional news as to what’s coming up:

01/16/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : When a defense attorney is murdered after a fundraiser, Intelligence must confront the world of campaign finance, which makes them reconsider their decision to back the current pro-police mayoral candidate.

So why doesn’t this actually give away anything when it comes to the status of Ruzek? Well, the simple answer is that this came out prior to the events of tonight’s episode and NBC doesn’t like to just go around spoiling things that happen in their episodes, so it makes sense that they wouldn’t mention him here.

Hopefully, Ruzek does find a way to stick around, especially since that does not mean that we’re at the end of the road when it comes to the COPA drama. In the aftermath of what happens with Ruzek here, it’s certainly feasible that Intelligence is going to be watching him like a hawk for almost the entirety of his career moving forward. That is still a reason for some legitimate concern and/or fear if you are him.
