Next week, The Gifted season 2 episode 12 will arrive on Fox and bring, to go along with it, a reasonable amount of chaos. We are so close to the end of the season and because of that, the drama around every character is going to morph and escalate in some rather-shocking ways.
When it comes to Lauren, what she has to be prepared of at the moment is an onslaught via the Frost Sisters. The Inner Circle is going to be desperate to bring people over to their side and they’ll do whatever they can in order to make their dreams into a reality. This episode is going to put Lauren in a difficult position; part of the fun of the episode is going to be A) seeing how she gets out of this and then B) seeing what this episode does in order to set up more of what is coming. With the end on the horizon, we do have to think that we’re gearing up for an exciting / surprising conclusion down the line.
Below, CarterMatt has the official The Gifted season 2 episode 12 synopsis with some other information regarding what is coming up right now:
With the Inner Circle and the Purifiers on the rise, and the nation more divided than ever, the dream of the X-Men is on the verge of failure. In attempts to revive the Mutant Underground, Evangeline proposes a country-wide meeting. Meanwhile, Lauren and Andy continue to disagree in their dreams and the Frost Sisters attempt to intervene. Caitlin makes the risky suggestion of connecting with a family member for vital intel, and Lorna tries to secretly investigate Reeva’s plans for the Inner Circle.
There is a certain unpredictable nature that is likely going to come from the final episodes of The Gifted this season, mostly due to the fact that some of these characters don’t have a comic-book legacy as specifically written-out as others. That does give the staff behind the scenes a little bit something more to play around with — also, there may be a looseness that came with not knowing precisely what the future held during the majority of the production. Sometimes, having a little bit more of an uncertain future can be inspiring since it allows you to think more from an anything-goes perspective rather than having to plan and save things for years down the road.
