At the conclusion of episode 2, we had the shocker witnessed across the fandom — Liz Keen did everything in her power to ensure that Raymond Reddington was behind bars. She made it so that she could investigate him and, effectively, there was nothing that he could do in turn other than just sit back in his cell. He doesn’t know that she turned him over to cops in New York, just as he also doesn’t know that she’s aware of him being an imposter. For one of the first times ever, she is the one with the majority of the power … or at least that’s how things seem right now. The Blacklist season 6 episode 4 will be a chance for Reddington to see if he can get his bearings behind bars — if he does, you do have to think that this will be dangerous for pretty much everyone there. This is not a guy you can really keep down for a substantial period of time.

Below, CarterMatt has the official The Blacklist season 6 episode 4 synopsis with some additional news as to what’s coming:

01/18/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : Red (James Spader) acclimates to his new surroundings in federal prison, where he is challenged by an old rival. Samar (Mozhan Marno) goes undercover to stop a black market organization that fronts cash to criminals. Meanwhile, Liz (Megan Boone) and Jennifer (guest star Fiona Dourif) continue their investigation into Red’s past. Coy Stewart and Donna Murphy also guest star. TV-14 L, V

For us, there is one thing that this particular synopsis does remind us of: Reddington probably does have a number of people in prison who hate him. He’s done a wonderful job of locking up notorious criminals over the past several years with the help of the FBI, so while he may be excellent at reading a room and surviving in any situation, this is going to be a tricky one just because there are so many people in there who may have an ax to grind with him … and also an interest in doing whatever they can to make his life hell.
