Last Man Standing season 7 episode 11 preview: Jen, Mike’s hope for understanding

Want to know what’s ahead on Last Man Standing season 7 episode 11? For starters, expect a larger story for Jen. The first ten episodes have been a little bit all over the place in order of episode count (tonight’s episode, for example, was planned for earlier this season); episode 11 is actually meant to air around now, and we don’t anticipate there will be as many episode swaps coming given that we’re entering an era where Jen should be around on at least a semi-regular basis.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Last Man Standing season 7 episode 11 synopsis with some more news as to what’s ahead:

Mike struggles to find common ground with Jen, the Baxter’s new foreign exchange student, fearing she is being too polite with him. Meanwhile, Kyle and Chuck mess with Ed’s ancestry results in the all-new “Common Ground” episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, Jan. 11 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LMS-711) (TV-PG L)

This seems like the perfect sort of episode for where we are right now in the story, largely because we’re at this point now with Mike and Jen where they’re going to have to learn the right way to live together. She’s such a different person than he is used to, especially since so many of his own daughters have a habit of speaking their mind and saying how they feel without hesitation. We do think that there’s a lot that Mike could learn from Jen and a lot that Jen could learn from Mike; that could be a part of this story that is especially fun, provided that everyone can get on the same page.

We should note that after next week’s episode, the plan for Fox is to go on a break for at least a couple of weeks. This could prove to be a good thing in the event that the standoff right now between some Tribune Media affiliates and Charter Spectrum goes on for a long time. We still don’t think that there’s a reason to think that it’ll be a long blackout thanks to the NFL, but it’s still worth noting. This move does also save more episodes for later this winter / the spring.
