Freeform has released the latest Good Trouble promo, and it’s pretty clear now that they know what they’ve got in the form of Noah Centineo.
While there are millions of people who have probably just discovered Noah over the past year (thanks to his role on some Netflix movies), he’s been a familiar face on Freeform for some time. He’s a key player from The Fosters in Jesus, and some of the meatiest material from his entire career he got on this show. (To think, he wasn’t even the original actor in this role.)
We know that Centineo will be reprising his role for at least one episode of Good Trouble, which is going to be valuable mostly in that we’re going to get a chance to see some sort of update on his life. We do want to get a greater sense as to precisely where his character is at this particular point in his life. It’s been a long journey in order for him to ultimately make it to this point!
Of course, we’re not going to pretend here as though Jesus is front and center for the entirety of this promo; he’s not. Yet, you see a glimpse of him and at least one other The Fosters cast member in here beyond the two returning regulars in Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez. They are going to be front and center here as Callie and Mariana, who are doing more or less everything that they can in order to establish some sort of normalcy in their lives. That’s going to be tough given the fact that they are living some rather abnormal existences. We are speaking here about two separate people who are dealing with a good bit of struggle as they start their lives in Los Angeles. They’ll have to make some new friends and, beyond just that, try to understand how to make it in their careers when they are faced with some tremendous obstacles. Let’s just say that not everyone out there is anywhere near as eager about them succeeding as they are.
Good Trouble will appear on Freeform starting next week and, at least for now, it appears as though the plan here is to deliver cast members from The Fosters throughout the season as a way to constantly keep fans of the original show engaged.
