Grown-ish season 2 episode 3 preview: Can Zoey make amends?

One week into grown-ish season 2, and one thing certainly feels clear — this show has already exceeded some expectations. The show has managed to find itself a larger social audience than black-ish has ever had and really, we do think that this show is setting a nice precedent for other comedies that want to spin off and try to secure a little bit of a larger audience.

Of course, we think that for a lot of fans in the moment, they probably aren’t thinking all that much about ratings or social traffic; they’re more immersed into the story and what is going on at the moment when it comes to Zoey, Luca, and some of the other characters. The first episodes did a nice job of setting the table, but at the same time it’s clear that there is a lot of drama coming up — though we use “drama” in relative terms. This isn’t exactly a show designed to make you weep all of the time. It’s current, bright, and it wants to make you live in the moment a little bit. It’s also a good representation of what it’s like to be in college, trying to figure yourself up.

Zoey struggles to make amends after accidentally breaking one of the group’s unspoken social rules and upsetting both Jazz and Luca. After Aaron and Vivek’s kickback is shut down by campus police, they try to find other ways to turn up.

The promo below, meanwhile, offers you up a pretty-good sense as to some of what’s coming in this episode, most-notably a text-message disaster that spends from spending way too much time talking about some other people in her friend room. To go along with that, there’s also apparently going to be a larger problem that is coming in the form of a panic attack. While there is a funny line that’s injected into the promo about that, it’s serious business and hopefully, something that is going to be treated as such.
