Good Trouble sneak peek: Mariana, Callie in for a surprise

Freeform LogoThe Good Trouble premiere is coming to Freeform on Tuesday, January 8 and judging from the sneak peek below, Callie and Mariana are going to be facing an uphill battle. They are in trouble, but it absolutely is not of the good variety.

In the new sneak peek HERE, you can get a small sense as to what is happening with Callie, Mariana, and a U-Haul that was clearly designed in order to ensure that they could get some of their stuff to Los Angeles without any problem. They were already in the process of looking ahead to the future, and that included making sure that they had scoped out a proper place. From what we’ve seen online so far, the place they are living at in the Coterie is a less-than-desirable environment in some ways. It may have its appeals, but not all of them are altogether aesthetic.

This preview makes it clear that technically, Callie and Mariana could’ve afforded a better place if Callie was willing to do it. Yet, she didn’t want rent to be unbalanced and for Mariana to be paying more than her. Mariana’s going to be starting off with a little bit more of a high-earning job in the world of tech. Callie, meanwhile, is going into the legal profession — there is a way to earn a good bit of money here but, in order to properly do so, it can take a good bit of time and effort. She’s not anywhere near there just yet, as it has a fairly low entry point as a whole.

Rather than thinking about rent, though, this sneak peek indicates strongly that the two are going to be thinking more about their stuff … which seems to be totally gone. Are they going to be kicking off their lives in Los Angeles with noting? It’s certainly possible, though we’re crossing our fingers that, one way or another, they are going to be able to locate it. Consider that one of the few main storylines at the heart of this series, which is going to be jumping forward in time and showing you a different side of these characters than what we’ve seen before on The Fosters. (Of course, we do think that the essence of the original show is still going to be wedged in here somewhere. It’s hard to imagine it working otherwise.)
