Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 6 sneak peek: All about wedding insurance
In this sneak peek (take a look below), you get to see the immediate aftermath of Jake and Amy getting married — and how they seemed to have stumbled into some rather-fantastic money via wedding insurance. This will allow the two to do a wide array of different things, including have far more of an extravagant honeymoon than they first thought they were going to get. There’s something about Jake calling Amy his “brilliant wife” that will probably make many people out there swoon — beyond just that, though, there’s something funny that just comes out of Jake trashing the Berkshires right before Terry says that’s where he was planning to take his wife.
While this sneak peek is only thirty or so seconds long, we nonetheless think that it sums up Brooklyn Nine-Nine in a rather fantastic way. It makes it clear that that even though the series is now at NBC after years over at Fox, the series has not really changed all that much of anything. It’s still the same show that you’ve come to know and love with the same tone — the big difference is mostly that some of these characters are at different points in their lives. We’ll get to see some changes in the police force, Captain Holt at the center of a key decision, and Jake and Amy now as a married couple. That will probably change some things about their work relationship, but we’re not expecting anything too dramatic. Tonally, we don’t think that this show is going to plan any sort of huge swings — it’s kind of like when Leslie and Ben got together for good on Parks and Recreation. These are the same characters, but they now just have a few different wrinkles within their lives.
The last thing we can do here is simply offer up a reminder that if you love Brooklyn Nine-Nine, you really should watch the season 6 premiere live. After all, we don’t want to have to through all of this cancellation drama again and it would be rather nice to just have the show stick around for some time moving forward.
