Floribama Shore season 2 episode 20 preview: Kortni, Gus, & Nilsa drama

When Floribama Shore season 2 episode 20 arrives on MTV next week, there’s going to be (basically to the surprise of no one) drama. This time around (also to the surprise of no one), Gus and Nilsa are at the center of it. These two are basically the will-they-or-won’t-they couple of the show and it seems like anytime someone else gets mixed up with the two, there’s a lot of conflict that erupts on the other side.

Of course, we think that a lot of this is ratcheted up to 11 when you think about who’s involved in it on the upcoming episode — Kortni. One of Nilsa’s own house-mates is getting a little close to Gus and because of that, there’s going to be anger and frustration on the part of Nilsa. In a way, we totally get it — when someone like Kortni, who you are close to, is in Gus’ bed, it’s going to bother you. That’s especially the case when you realize that Kortni is super-well-aware of all of the feelings that are present here. There really aren’t any surprises here and that is going to make the conflicts all the more present and all the more complicated.

Will all of this be resolved by the end of the season? You certainly have to hope so, but we’re not altogether sure that there is a lot of time left for it. There are only a few episodes to go until the end of the season, and sometimes feelings and relationships are the sort of thing that take weeks or months in order to properly figure out. If there is a season 3 for the series down the road, that’s probably when we are going to have a better chance to understand / assess the state of things. We certainly do hope that some of these people are able to sort through some of their feelings, but admittedly, it’s a difficult thing. It’s especially hard when you are in a reality-TV environment. Think about things in this sense — you’re around the person you have feelings for all of the time, it’s hard to escape them for production reasons, and even when you are in a confessional separate from them, you’re forced to answer questions about them more or less all of the time. There’s just not all that much of an escape out there.
