The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 12 spoilers: Zack’s return; Raj’s mission

There’s a chance that you already heard about Zack’s return to the series, and a little bit of what he is going to bring to the show creatively this time around. For those who haven’t heard, Penny’s ex is going to be back and at a new point in his life: He’s married! He’s finally figured out some things with his life, but one thing that he is still struggling with is that he wants a baby. Unfortunately, he is unable to have one himself due to infertility. This is where Leonard could come into play.

“The Propagation Proposition” – Penny’s ex-boyfriend, Zack (Brian Thomas Smith), and his wife want a baby, but when Zack is infertile, they ask Leonard for help. Also, Koothrappali attempts to mend things with his ex-fiancée, Anu (Rait Gupta), on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 10 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Regardless of what Leonard decides with this story, one of the things that we think is important here is that this story could cause him to think more about his own future as a father. We’re about at the halfway point of the final season and with that, we have to imagine that fatherhood is going to be one of those things that becomes more and more important to Leonard over time. He’s gotta figure out if this is something that he wants now, and also touch base with Penny on it at the same time.
As for Raj and Anu, we mostly just hope that we’re nearing a point of closure for him, for better or worse. Raj is really the only consistent series regular who doesn’t have a lot of closure on his story just yet, and unless there is some sort of super-secret spin-off in development (it’d be so secret that we haven’t heard of it yet), we imagine that the show is going to have to move forward with this storyline at a pretty steady pace.
