Is NCIS: New Orleans new tonight on CBS? We definitely do think that this is a good question worth asking. That’s especially true when you consider the super-shocking stuff that happened on the series this past week.

Unfortunately, you’re getting no answer to that big cliffhanger from last week within tonight’s episode. With that, there are no answers as to precisely what’s going to be happening coming up after the death of one Cassius Pride (Stacy Keach). While this man wasn’t exactly a saint, he did care about his son and tried his best to protect him. This is one of the big components that actually went into him being killed.
In the aftermath of this, though, one thing feels abundantly clear — we’re going to be seeing a side of NCIS: New Orleans where Dwayne Pride is out for revenge. He wants to know why things happened the way that they did in the fall finale and, beyond that, he and us both want to know the identity of the mysterious voice who commanded him in that episode. It doesn’t seem like it is some practically-impossible ploy orchestrated by Amelia. There is something larger going on here and by the end of this episode, we really are hoping there’s a good opportunity to see precisely what that is.
On the other side of this particular cliffhanger, there’s of course more story we want to explore. For example, how is Wade doing in the aftermath of knowing that she was close to losing her own life? Meanwhile, can we get some big stories for the likes of LaSalle, Tammy, or Patton? It feels like it’s been a little while since any of them had a substantial amount of time in the spotlight. We do at least remember something for Sebastian, though we’re always going to welcoming getting Rob Kerkovich in the spotlight.
Ultimately, the good news here is that NCIS: New Orleans will be airing a new episode fairly early on in 2019. While CBS is clearly keeping you waiting at the moment for more new episodes, they won’t leave you on the lurch for too long a period of time after that.
