Is The Flash new tonight on The CW? Given the way in which the first half of the season ended, we absolutely want more!

The sad news is that in the aftermath of the 100th episode and, to go along with it, the Elseworlds crossover, there is no installment on the show tonight. We’re in the midst now of a holiday hiatus that is going to keep us on hold until the middle of next month when the second half of the season comes on the air.
As for precisely what we’re going to see when the series does come back, it feels like the answer to that is at least moderately clear — some more answers when it comes to what’s going on with Nora West-Allen in the future. At the end of the first half of the season, we learned that she has been in communication with Eobard Thawne and we know that, by and large, this is not a good thing. It doesn’t mean that Nora is a villain, as she may just be blissfully unaware of some of this guy’s true intentions. Yet, at the same time she’s put herself in a position where this man will be able to take advantage of her in some capacity. If she ends up doing something in the past that further screws with the timeline, this could lead to him being free down the line or have something else working in his favor.
At the moment, we don’t think that the Reverse-Flash necessarily has a laundry list of priorities other than stopping the regular Flash, and he would be more than happy to find a way to do this.
Beyond the future…
We don’t want to forget about the present, given that there are some major issues that need to be attended to there, including the fact that Cicada is still on the loose. For now, it feels as though the only person who has a reasonably good chance of stopping him is Caitlin, given that his abilities due to the meta-tech have no real impact on her. Yet, just because she can stop him doesn’t mean that they will be able to find him. He’s in a very different spot on the series moving forward now that everyone knows who he is.
