NBC has officially announced their full lineup of performers for the upcoming The Voice season 15 finale, and maybe they offer another reason to watch.
So who can you expect to see hit the stage over the course of Tuesday’s expected episode? Think in terms of Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Dierks Bentley, Halsey, Marshmello and Bastille, Panic! At The Disco, Season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli, and potentially more. (The finalists will also be involved in here at some point.)
There are a number of notable franchise connections within the group here. Take, for example, the fact that Legend is going to be a coach on the upcoming spring cycle of the series and clearly, NBC wants to promote him. Meanwhile, we also do appreciate the fact that Cartelli is coming back for the last show of the season. It’s a smart way to pass the torch, for starters. Beyond just that, it’s a chance for her to actually continue to prove herself in terms of some future career prospects. The more opportunities that she has in order to be successful, the better off The Voice as a franchise will be. Do we recognize that the series is not dependent on its artists having careers in order for it to be successful? Sure, but at the same time we’re also aware of the fact that it doesn’t hurt anything if they are. If you’re smart, you really do want to do just about everything in your power in order to make yourself credible.
Of course, the remainder of the artists are being put ion here as promotion for their own work, and also to give people another reason to tune in. We don’t think that The Voice actually has to be all that aggressive in their promotion for the winter finale, mostly because there aren’t exactly a whole lot of other things that viewers could be watching instead. We’re at that point in the year when there really isn’t all that much to watch and because of that, all you really need to do in order to get viewers is present something that they will enjoy as they dive into the holiday season. This should provide that.
Following this finale, we don’t foresee the new season starting until late February — with that in mind, The Voice better hope that this is going to be all of the entertainment viewers need for a while since there’s not going to be a whole lot from this particular show for a while after the fact.
