The Cool Kids episode 10 return date: What lies ahead for Fox Comedy?
Following tonight’s episode, you are going to have to wait for a little while to see the comedy starring Martin Mull. How long? Think in terms of Friday, January 4 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time. That’s not all that long of a hiatus, at least by most TV standards these days. We’ll get to see the show back on the air in a few weeks and with that, we’ll of course have more comedy. (The easy way to think about the schedule for The Cool Kids is simply that the show is going to keep airing alongside Last Man Standing — if the Tim Allen series is on the air, so will The Cool Kids.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official The Cool Kids episode 10 synopsis with some more news about what lies ahead:
When Hank finds out his ex-wife will be at a mutual friend’s funeral, Margaret volunteers to be his “hype man” and lie about his success to impress her. Charlie and Sid love a good funeral, so they crash it against Hank’s orders in the all-new “Funeral Crashers” episode of THE COOL KIDS airing Friday, Jan. 4 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (CK-113) (TV-14 D, L)
This should be a pretty funny episode and a good way to come back on the air, but there is a part of us that immediately thinks of the end of Wedding Crashers as we read this. (We have a feeling, though, that it’s going to be rather different.) This episode will probably show more than anything else the series’ darker sense of humor, and hopefully, some of the more-conservative viewers will be still on board. (Remember, executive producer Charlie Day definitely has a dark sense of humor.)
For those who are wondering by that CK-113 production number, this episode is airing a little bit earlier in the run than it was filmed. Sometimes, that happens for scheduling reasons … or it may just be happening here because Fox is really proud of this episode.
As for the show’s season 2 odds…
If you love The Cool Kids, rest assured that there is almost nothing to worry about here. Based on the performance that we’ve seen from it through at least the first half of the season, it’s hard to imagine that it’s going to go anywhere in the near future. There’s no reason for Last Man Standing and The Cool Kids to be separated from each other in the near future.
