It’s fair to call tonight’s Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode critical — how else would you describe the final seven immunity challenge? It’s the most important one of the season, which is really something that you progressively say more and more as a given season goes on.

The video sneak peek below gives you a pretty good sense as to what the upcoming final seven immunity challenge is here, and suffice it to say, this one looks like quite the doozy. Basically, you’re going to be watching all of the remaining contestants have to balance balls on a disc — this is far from the first time that we’ve seen this challenge, but this may be one of the most-difficult iterations we’ve seen because of the rain. Everyone looks to be fairly cold and miserable and, beyond just that, they are all still wearing the same gear that they had when they arrived to the show. This is one of the first times we can really remember over the past several years where there wasn’t much in the way of swimwear given to them over time.
What makes this immunity all the more critical at this juncture is that there isn’t all that much info out there at present in terms of the newest immunity idol. Presumably, one is going to be re-hidden after Christian played his and he has the responsibility now of going out and try to find it — as does everyone else. At this point, there are a number of people who know what to look for so they theoretically have an advantage. Make no mistake that Christian clearly deserves it the most, given that he is the most dangerous person in the game and really has been since the merge. He’s been targeted a number of times but saved by a wide array of different circumstances.
Next week marks the Survivor finale and we’ve got a feeling that there will be six different contestants entering the field at that point. We’re expecting an intense, insane final three hours with all sorts of twists and turns — plus, we’re looking forward to seeing if any interesting stuff unfolds at the reunion, which is, if nothing else, typically entertaining. (There will also more than likely be a tease for the next season, premiering in the new year.)
