Criminal Minds season 14 episode 10 sneak peek: A heart-wrenching case

In the sneak peeks below, you can get a little bit more information about the UnSub at the center of this case, someone who is playing a rather-sadistic game at the moment when it comes to their victims. Basically, what they are doing at the moment is luring young women via personal ads, and then using them in turn to lure in potential victims. These victims end up having their hearts cut out, which is about as gruesome as you’re going to find. In one of the sneak peeks, Prentiss and Garcia work together to at least ensure that the advertisements online are halted. That’s at least one thing that htey can do in order to stop some of the carnage before it gets worse … but we’ve still got a feeling that there is potential for a lot of terrible stuff to go down. This is Criminal Minds, and we certainly know that things don’t come easy for the BAU.
By the end of this episode, it does feel safe to say that Prentiss’ life and career are going to have a big role in the story. The official synopsis teases that this case will have some sort of bearing when it comes to her past and beyond that, we also know that her dating life could become a part of this as a date with Mendoza is going to end up being interrupted because of everything that is going on.
What’s going on when it comes to Reid?
At the moment, it does feel like this could be one of those episodes that Matthew Gray Gubler does not appear in. That’s something that tends to happen for a stretch every season, so it’s something that many longtime fans are probably familiar with at this point. We understand being bummed out given that this season only has 15 episodes, but at the time this installment was written and schedules were set, there probably wasn’t any way for any one person to know this clearly. They had to plan ahead as though there could be a full 22 and that Gubler could have been around for most of them.
