When Outlander season 4 episode 7 arrives on Starz in one week’s time, you’ll see an episode for Roger and Bree like no other. Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin are set to get the showcase that we’ve been long waiting for, and the timing could not be any more perfect. After all, Brianna is now in the past in order to eventually find Jamie and Claire in North Carolina. She has seen some of the evidence of their death and wants to do what she can in order to help. Meanwhile, Roger is going to do everything in his power to go back in time himself in order to lend a helping hand.

Want a few more details as to what’s coming? Then take a look at the official Outlander season 4 episode 7 synopsis:
Brianna follows in her mother’s footsteps and travels through the stones back in time to 18th century Scotland where she struggles to make her way to the Colonies to find her parents, Jamie and Claire. Meanwhile, Roger follows Brianna into the past and embarks on a harrowing sea journey.
There are clearly going to be some echoes of the first season in this episode, given that we are effectively going to have a chance to see two different characters experience time-travel for the first time here. Brianna seemed to have prepared for the past to the best of her ability, and we imagine that Roger will do the same understanding the history of the era. Yet, as much as one can prepare to be at this particular point in time, there’s a huge difference between thinking that you’re prepared and actually tackling much of the trouble around you. This could prove itself to be a painful, challenging episode for these characters — even if there is hope for something a little bit better for them on the other side, it’s going to take a great deal of hardship in order for them to make it to that point.
One more interesting thing to note here comes via the episode count. We are now officially at the halfway point! We’ve loved the journey of season 4 to date, and the big thing we’re perhaps the most upset about is simply the fact that there are only six more episodes. After that, another long Droughtlander awaits. Filming for season 5 is going to begin in the new year, and with that, we do imagine that it’ll be a while before it comes on the air.
