The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 premiere date hopes for Amazon

Let’s kick things off here with a reminder that there will, in fact, be a season 3 coming at some point in the future on Amazon. This is something that was confirmed earlier this year by Amazon’s Jennifer Salke, and it gives one of their prestige series a chance to further build out its world and establish even more of its story. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is a critical and commercial phenomenon so far and we don’t get the sense that this is changing all that much for season 2. This is arguably the most important season quality-wise, largely because this is where the series has to prove that it is more than just a one-hit wonder and continue to have some of the incredible momentum that it’s established to date.
As for when The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 3 could premiere, there’s no specific date just yet and more than likely, there’s not going to be one for a little while. Amazon shouldn’t be in any hurry to get these episodes out there, mostly because there’s no need for them to do so. They have just released their season 2 run for viewers to enjoy right now, and that can hold down the fort for at least the next eleven months or so.
If The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel wants to continue its pattern of doing a season a year, season 3 could premiere as early as late 2019. Yet, things could always take longer depending on script demands or whatever the cast and crew are up to at that particular moment in time. There are a lot of different directions that Amazon could go with this … but we do think that it makes the most sense to keep putting the show on the air near the end of the year. If nothing else, it helps to ensure that it stays in consideration for the Golden Globes when we get around to the end of the year since this is when everyone is pushing their “for your consideration” platforms and this show will be fresh in everyone’s minds.
When will a premiere date announcement for season 3 come?
Not anytime soon. At the moment, we’d be surprised if we actually hear anything before we get around to the summer of 2019, mostly because it makes no sense for Amazon to announce it so early that the buzz dies out quickly. They will want to time this announcement out so that it fits properly with their promotional campaign and keep it in people’s minds.
