Charmed episode 9 preview: Christmas plus the fall finale!

For everyone out there excited for Charmed episode 9 to arrive on The CW in one week’s time, here’s something more to remember: It’s the fall finale! Everything that we’ve seen over the course of the first season is coming to a head, and we certainly hope that in the process of this, we are building towards a big ending that is both interesting and excellent. What better way to get excitement build up for the second part of the season than some sort of big cliffhanger? It’s at least something that we hope that the producers considered way back when they were first plotting this story.

Of course, beyond this being the fall finale, there is something else rather worthwhile to point out: This is the Christmas episode! Basically, this installment should allow us an opportunity to see how some of these particular characters celebrate the holidays … and also some of the surprises that they encounter along the way.

Below, CarterMatt has the Charmed episode 9 synopsis with a little bit more information as to what’s coming:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS – Mel (Melonie Diaz) turns to Harry (Rupert Evans) for guidance after learning information about the magical world that leaves her questioning everything she knows. Galvin (Ser’Darius Blain) shows up to see Macy (Madeleine Mantock) and she is determined to not let fate get in the way of their potential relationship. Meanwhile, Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) tries to keep her mom’s Christmas traditions going and is excited for Parker (Nick Hargrove) to be a part of it. Michael Lange directed the episode written by Jessica O’Toole & Amy Rardin (#109). Original airdate 12/9/2018

So what could the cliffhanger in this particular episode even be? It could be something romantic, or it could also be the emergence of some sort of larger foe / showdown that really defines the entire second half of the season. We’re fairly sure that it will be dramatic and insane no matter what; color us intrigued for basically anything and everything that is going to be coming up.

One more thing to remember here

Charmed does already have an order for a full season of 22 episodes. with that in mind, you don’t really have to worry all that much about whether or not the story is going to be rushed. We imagine that the writers are going to take their time ensuring that every little element of what they have planned is as perfect as perfect can be for them. They can further address the long-term future once they start to see more in the way of ratings in the new year.
