The Resident season 2 episode 10: Five things we want to see!

The Resident

As we start to press onward and look ahead towards The Resident season 2 episode 10 on Fox in the new year, what are some of the things that we want to see? That’s the focus of this very article! We’ve got five different expectations for what could be a pretty interesting, momentous next chapter for the Matt Czuchry series.

Cliffhanger resolution – This is obviously the biggest thing, given the fact that at the conclusion of the fall finale, the life of one Julian Lynn (Jenna Dewan) was in grave danger alongside that of Conrad’s own father Marshall. We do think that the writers are probably going to work to resolve these right away in the new year, with our feeling being that Marshall is the likelier of the two to survive. Him dying closes off story possibilities; meanwhile, Julian dying would bury the truth about Quovadis for a while. Also, Dewan has some other projects.

Devon picking up the pieces – He’s really messed up a ton of things in his life at this point, whether it be his engagement / possible marriage to Priya or really his emotional state as a doctor. We want to see him struggling in a number of ways, including possibly with debt given the high cost of the wedding — and the fact that people will hold him accountable for the result.

Conrad and Nic’s new challenge – Are they going to be able to stay together? While it was such a small moment in the fall finale, at the same exact time we wonder if Nic really doesn’t want kids moving forward. What could that mean for their relationship of Conrad does? It’s something that they will certainly need to talk over a little bit further.

Dr. Bell shadiness – This guy has definitely got himself into QUITE a pickle, hasn’t he? The doctor has put himself in a spot where he is having to support Dr. Lane Hunter in order to save his own hide, and the fact that he’s willing to do this says a lot about his character. Seeing where this story goes now should offer up some great entertainment — not to mention maybe a few more surprises since Dr. Bell is the greatest cockroach on this series.

A vulnerable AJ – Why not focus a little bit more on what’s going on with him? We think the next phase of his evolution really should revolve around getting more of a sense as to precisely why he is how he is — and also what causes him to break down.
